Darfen obtain yet another accreditation

October 2009

We are pleased to announce that we have received yet another accreditation to add to our string of approvals. Having been assessed against our financial Stability, Health and Safety procedures and Equal Opportunities policies we are very happy to be approved with Exor Management Services. Exor is a management procurement framework for the public sector which helps local authorities and housing associations buy in confidence. In becoming approved, we are now able to offer our services to local authorities who procure through the scheme.

Ian McKinnon, Managing Director of Exor Management Services said: "Major public organisations can no longer run the risk of employing contractors who are not able to prove that they have sound range of business policies. More companies need to understand the importance of adopting good risk management in the way that Darfen has done. The firms’ high standard has set an example"

Managing Director for Darfen, Jeff Gardom said: "Our new accreditation with Exor will not only help us to attract new contracts but it also furthermore demonstrates our commitment to strengthening our market leading position"

Will your premises be secure this Xmas?

November 2008

Wall topped electric fencing is safe, legal, and extremely effective at deterring and repelling unwanted intruders.

With just weeks until Christmas it's time to start thinking about the security of your premises or construction site to ensure that it remains safe and secure over the holiday period. As the only approved Secured By Design fencing installer in the UK we thought it was about time we shared with you some of the ways you can prevent a break-in. It doesn't take much to improve security and by investing in just a few adjustments, your site can be more secure and you can have peace of mind. Simple steps like installing security lighting can help to illuminate high risk areas but Darfen offers a range of perimeter protection solutions that can also help. The anti-climb Zenith system has no foot-hols or finger-holds, security toppings can provide additional security on top of fencing or walls, and
Darfen Steelhoard can be an ideal temporary solution to create a mini-compound helping to secure stock, valuable plant or other equipment. A sliding gate is also an ideal solution that will restrict vehicle access onto your site.  These are just some of the products that can be installed by Darfen to make your site more secure. To arrange a free security assessment on your site or premises contact your local branch!
