Client Goals
DSV are a global leader in air/sea freight, road freight and logistics. Fast and secure transit is of the utmost importance to both DSV and their customers, and in order to maintain internal security the business needed to section off part of the warehouse. DSV also needed a solution that could be installed quickly and with minimal disruption to the day to day activities within the warehouse.
Darfen Solution
DSV liked the aesthetic appeal and high performance attributes of the Darfen Steelhoard system but wanted to avoid installing the system into the ground. The Steelhoard Sales and logistics centre worked with DSV to provide a suitable alternative, and in the end recommended the use of special base plated spigots to use on the steelhoard as an alternative. The specially designed base plates meant that the Steelhoard could be erected quickly without having to dig and concrete into the warehouse floor; and also gave DSV the flexibility to rapidly move panels in the future if required. The Steelhoard was provided in white to match the client's corporate identity and has proven to be a suitable form of permanent demarcation within the warehouse and added to the efficiency of DSV’s service overall.
