Client Goals
Bovis Lend Lease, the Main Contractor for this project required a quality fencing installation to be completed in various phases as construction works developed.
Darfen Solution
Four types of fencing, five types of gates and various other products were specified in the pre-planning stage and for any project manager a daunting task was ahead to find a reputable company which could not only supply all the products, but could also provide a fully CSCS carded installation team to install the products in time and on budget. Fortunately Darfen were there to help!
With the support of other companies within the CRH Group of companies Darfen Scotland was able to offer Bovis Lend Lease a one-stop shop for all their perimeter security requirements. Darfen Scotland sourced high performance products, such as the sliding Delta Gate and welded mesh Pallas fencing from well established group companies Heras UK Fencing Systems, Heras Readyfence and Broughton Controls.
Working with companies in the group meant that Darfen Scotland had full control over the manufacturing and delivery. Darfen worked on-site for a period of seven months and completed on time for the centre to open its doors to shoppers in October this year.
