- 1 x 1.2 mtr wide single leaf gate
Client Goals
In order to deter vandals and graffiti, the local council required a traditional fencing system which was not only aesthetically pleasing to the eye but at the same time benefits from anti-vandal features.
Darfen Solution
Darfen offer a range of permanent fencing systems which benefit from anti-vandal features. To satisfy the clients requirements of providing a non-obtrusive and aesthetically pleasing fence line, Darfen recommended the square bar self-raking railing system. The non-welded railings flow over ground contours and undulations on-site effortlessly which also makes them a very cost effective solution.
Near to the town centre, the site drew a high volume of pedestrian traffic, therefore it was important to install an attractive fenceline and the end result is a timeless design which not only provides the security required but also adds to the beauty of the historical building.

Customer Comment
"The project went very well overall as we did fear negative public comment
which can follow any change, no matter how appropriate, to the local
landscape" Ian Powell, Landscape Development Officer
