Client Goals
The North Lanarkshire council sports strategy is to ensure that people are more active, more often. Darfen were pleased to help with the refurbishment of four 5-a-side pitches by installing new sports fencing.
Darfen Solution
Broadwood Stadium is a multi-use community sports complex situated in Cumbernauld, Clyde. Working for Lanarkshire Council Darfen were appointed to help refurbish four 5-a-side sports pitches.
Carrying out the work during the school holidays meant that we had to work to short timescales, and we also had to ensure not to disrupt everyday business as some pitches remained open to the general public.
The Multi-Use Games Areas installed utilise the Multi-Mesh rebound fencing panel which is reinforced with multiple wires therefore providing a strong and durable fence for all types of sports. Radius corners were also installed to ensure safer play for contact sports.
The entire installation took three weeks and Darfen also removed the existing welded mesh roll fencing.
