Client Goals
Working to a restricted budget Bishop Vessey School contact Darfen to find a safe and reliable entrance control solution having seen installations at other schools in the area.
Darfen Solution
Taking into account the results of a recent security review the school felt that the main entrance presented an opportunity for intruders to easily come onto the school premises. With the advice of Darfen Access Control we agreed a sliding gate would provide a suitable form of entrance control to help ensure the school was secure at all times.
Darfen Access Control installed a sliding Delta Gate. Its cantilever design means that there is no ground track or exposed wheels to get blocked by dirt, leaves or snow. The gate was automated so that it could be operated in various ways including via key pad and by mobile phone.
To cater for site ground level conditions we extended the bars at the bottom of the gate to ensure that there were no significant gaps between the ground and gate itself.
