Client Goals
B&Q needed an acoustic fencing installation that protected local residents against noise pollution caused by vehicle and plant.
Darfen Solution
B & Q is a leading DIY retailer in the UK. The new distribution centre in Swindon needed a total perimeter solution consisting of a security fence, an acoustic fencing system and equipment to control employee access.
To meet the requirements of site Darfen installed approximately 600 metres of reflective acoustic fencing around the site to help reduce noise pollution.
Nearly 1000 metres of Triton welded mesh fencing was installed to provide security at the perimeter and a turnstile was installed for employees to obtain access into the distribution centre.
Darfen provided a perimeter security solution that was tailored to suit the requirements of B & Q, local planning and also local residents and the end result is a high secure site that does not look unsightly.
