Client Goals
To secure a housing area from vandals and street crime without taking on the look of a prison.
Darfen Solution
Heavy duty vertical bar railings were used with finial heads to provide an ornate but anti-climb feel. Vertical bar railings are ideal for housing sites, as they provide security whilst maintaining aesthetic appeal. The system is built to last, and the heavy duty materials used to manufacture the railings mean that they’re not easily damaged and deformed therefore making them vandal proof.
The site itself was complex, as it was spread over a number of hills, broken into eight independent blocks and a section of the fence sat on a wall.
Cranked posts were used in order to support the wall sections. They were set behind and over the wall in order to provide optimum support and security.
Pedestrian gates and Delta cantilever sliding gates,for vehicle control, were installed and integrated with radio transmitter and keyfob control systems in order to provide maximum security for the residents.
