Darfen Solution
Darfen Steelhoard is a 2.4m high solid metal site hoarding system used to provide security to construction and house builders’ sites throughout the UK.
Designed specifically to provide site security, the system is installed directly into the ground with the use of spigots in order to form a solid barrier around the site, which will also withstand winds of up to 50 miles per hour. The Askern site took advantage of extra security measures by adding to the height of the compound with the addition of 0.6m high barb wire extensions, therefore taking the full height of the fence to 3m. Whilst a Darfen Steelhoard compound provides unrivalled security to a site, a large attraction to the system is its aesthetic appeal.
The solid steel components will not burn, rot or degrade unlike timber systems, and the profiled sheets help to deter bill stickers and graffiti artists, therefore leaving a long, uniform run. In this instance, the hoarding remained the standard white, however the sheets can be painted in relevant colours to reflect corporate identity and brand image.
