Client Goals
To protect a danger area where there’s plant operating, and to prevent access to the backstage area.
Darfen Solution
Bow top self raking railings were chosen due to its attractive appearance whilst at the same time providing a strong, durable fence.
The 2m high system was designed with safety in mind; the Arena is used to full capacity crowds, many of whom try to access the artists backstage; the sleek fence design means that there are no rough edges or spikes for crowds to damage either themselves, or clothing on.
The nature of the site meant that the fencing may be removed at any time to make way for events, and so closable post sleeves were designed which were sunk into the ground, so that at any point, the fence could be taken down, and no trip hazards would be left.
The finish of the fence was galvanised and polyester colour coated blue to fall in with the design and corporate colours of the site.
