To install fencing to surround a multi-purpose sports pitch for basketball and football.
Darfen Solution
Darfen became involved with the charity programme "A Little Help From My Friends" when TV/Popstar Kerry McFadden contacted us for advice as to the installation of a ballcourt fence for Liverpool's Alder Hey Children's Hospital.
Her challenge was to build a playground for the Hospital which was broken down into three separate areas: a playground for all abilities, a sensory garden and a multi-purpose sports pitch for basketball and football.
Heras UK Fencing Systems, Darfen's sister Company donated 20 x 30m² of multi-mesh ballcourt fencing at 3m high and galvanised and coloured black. This was donated due to its strength and ability to provide a uniform bounce for quality game play.
Five installers from our Liverpool branch then provided expert advice as to the installation of the fence working through the weekend to complete the work.
