Client Goals
As the UK’s leading manufacturer of bricks and tiles, Ibstock Brick needed maximum security to protect the thousands of bricks which are stored in their yard day by day. Whilst needing a high secure fencing system it was also imperative that Ibstock satisfied town planners with a system that was in-keeping with the surrounding area of Upholland.
Darfen Solution
Darfen offered Ibstock a range of systems but recommended that the Zenith welded mesh system would best meet their needs. The welded mesh panel design of the Zenith system was originally used as the Home Office approved design for prison fencing, and is therefore extremely robust and thoroughly tested. The system is difficult to breach, has good through-visibility and is highly resistant to vandalism. Customised entrance gates were made to complement the Zenith range by incorporating raven heads. The installation was carried out in three stages by Darfen in order to coincide with the budgetary requirements of the client. The end result is an aesthetic fence line which provides the maximum security required for Ibstocks manufacturing facility.
